This customer bought a beautiful house which he was busy doing a total revamp on. He approached us with the instruction to give him energy security as he didn’t want to be reliable on utility power and water. Because we couldn’t do any power monitoring, we had to use our experience combined with the existing infrastructure and client needs to put a PV system together. Since commissioning the PV system mid-August 2021, it has been able to supply in the region of 95% of the clients every day energy needs, even with the rainy weather experienced lately. The VRM (Victron Remote Monitoring) platform gives both the client and the installer the ability to monitor and control the PV system remotely.
